GroundStone Excavation is built on 16 years of civil and underground work across BC. The operator in the cab is the same person who designed the system, pulled the permit, and will answer the phone if something comes up.
GroundStone Enterprises Ltd. was incorporated in 2013 out of West Kelowna, BC. The septic design and installation side became one of the most technically recognized ROWP operations in the Interior — working across Interior Health, Fraser Health, and Vancouver Coastal Health jurisdictions.
The excavation side grew out of necessity. When you design complex onsite wastewater systems — raised sand mounds, pressure distribution beds, package treatment plants, lift stations — you learn quickly that the excavation either gets done right or the system doesn’t perform. We started doing our own excavation to control that outcome. It turned into a separate business.
GroundStone Excavation carries all the technical DNA of the parent company. We read geotech reports. We understand soil percolation, seasonal water tables, and the difference between a suitable subgrade and one that’s going to move. Most excavation contractors learn this by breaking things. We learned it by designing systems that had to perform for 25 years.
With offices in both the Okanagan Valley and the Fraser Valley, we operate as a genuinely local presence in each region — not a company that moonlights two hours from home.

We operate across two regions with a local presence in each. Whether you’re in the Okanagan Valley or the Fraser Valley, you’re talking to an owner-operated company that knows the ground underfoot and the regulators on the other end of the permit application.
